Elliot Melind is a 2023 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Wilmington, NC who attends Emsley A Laney. Medium current frame with excellent athleticism and plenty of room to add physicality in the future. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.17 seconds. Primary position IF, working through the ball very well presenting the glove out front nicely and securing the ball the way you want to see it done. Deep funnel in transition with some flashes of advanced footwork, making the plays to left and right. Full arm action showing velocity of 88 mph from the OF and an impressive 87 mph across the diamond. RHH starting from an open stance and using a big load and hanging leg lift to create power and timing. Leaned on the ball regularity, showing good pop, especially when in the air to the pull side. There is some complexity to the swing but he is strong enough and a good enough athlete to make it work well. Should hit for average and power long term. Tremendous student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
