Zane Kelly is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Faith Lutheran. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength to frame, additional room to fill moving forward. Primary outfielder, confident actions and works through the ball very well, fields it out front, fast release and ball jumps out of hand to intended base with excellent carry, repeats actions well. Athleticism pays at first base as well, soft hands out front and presents them well, moves well on feet away from the bag. Also pitched, easy delivery on the mound, on time and on line with a short/clean arm action working up to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 89 mph with flashes of short sinking life, occasionally opens front side early; mixed both a curveball with 1-7 shape and quality depth which projects and a straight changeup at 79 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a spread and even stance at the plate, utilizes a short stride moving into contact. Gets on a good plane with swing and whips the barrel through the zone, sequences movements well and generates lift out front. Ball jumps hard to pull side when squared, full finish through point of contact, power projects moving forward. Good student. Named to the 2021 PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
