Jake Porter is a 2024 C/1B, OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Bullard. Recorded a 7.46 second 60-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a medium frame and athletic build. Extremely quick exchange behind the plate on throws for a pop time of 2.06 seconds. Side-saddle start and reaching for it a bit on throws with a short-arm slot and velocity up to 72 mph. Soft hands and quick exchange translate to his secondary positions of first base and the outfield. Left-handed hitter with a slightly open even base and high-hands set starting point. Separation to high back elbow slot with a small hanging knee trigger stride. Solid barrel awareness with linear path that works best when he gets the stride down early. Hands work and in sequence with some pull side impact when timing is on. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
