Cooper Allen is a 2023 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Wake Forest, NC who attends Wake Forest. Large frame with an athletic build. Ran a 6.94 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, waits back on the ball a bit and takes short steps to it but gets in a good position to receive the ball and transfers to a clean arm action that produces accurate throws across the diamond. Possesses best present stuff on the mound where he has a very loose and balanced delivery with a very quick arm; fastball shows some cut to it at the plate up to 85 mph and has very good feel for a firm high-spin breaking ball. Right-handed hitter, sets up narrow with a high hand set; shows both quickness and strength in the hands with a good feel for the barrel that allows him to generate consistent line drive contact that transferred to game action. Very good student. Named to 2020 National Underclass East Showcase Top Prospect List.
