Matthew Boughton is a 2025 SS/2B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Colleyville, TX who attends Covenant Christian Academy. Long and lean athletic build. 6.69 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has high level defensive tools across the board, has very quick and sure hands fielding the ball, big arm strength across the diamond, smooth actions to both sides, really stands out defensively. Right handed hitter, hits from a wider base with a big leg raise trigger, can be late getting his foot down at times, has a loose swing with some barrel whip and makes hard pull contact when he's on time, has some feel for the barrel. Older player for his class who still has plenty of room to get stronger. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Texas A&M.
