Spencer Whitlock is a 2019 RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Wauwatosa, WI who attends Wauwatosa West HS. Medium build, lean frame with some room to fill and continue to get stronger. Ran a 7.33 second 60 yard dash. Only pitched at the event, simple side step to a high leg lift above belt, solid hip turn staying inline with the plate well, longer arm action that stays pretty tight throughout up to a varying arm angle between high 3/4 and 3/4 slot, had trouble repeating arm angle and release point during outing, could utilize a more consistent angle for better command, high back elbow into take back, extended front side. Fastball is mostly straight but showed some run when released from lower angle, mixed in a good changeup that he tended to grip too tight at times, comfortable mound presence, worked all four quadrants of the strike zone in game. Good student.
