Kai Nagashima is a 2025 SS/C with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA who attends Palos Verdes Peninsula. Tall frame with an athletic build and well-proportioned strength. Switch hitter, similar setup from both sides, balanced stance with an even base, hands and back elbow set high, leg lift load, all field approach and strength certainly plays in both swings. Gets into the power easily, creates good separation in the left-handed swing and produced some loud barrels in both. Primary shortstop, smooth mover getting to the spot, hands work well out front and has obvious feel for the leather, mid body exchange and showed the ability to change arm slot with solid arm strength across. Recorded throws across up to 83 mph, easy round and made all the plays. Great student. Verbal commitment to Hawaii.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
