Joshua Garcia is a 2024 3B/RHP, 1B, OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Tall, lean build with well-proportioned length that can really project going forward. Ran a 7.01 in the 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher, steps back with a high leg kick into a high three-quarter delivery. Fastball showed slight run in the low-80s and controls it well. Good depth and side action to his breaking ball along with a firm changeup. Good poise and direction on the mound. Also has a strong arm capable of handling infield duties with quick actions. Switch hitter, upright setup with a subtle loading mechanism in the backside. Short, compact swing with quick hands and intent. Packs some strength and showed ability to turn well with good bat speed. Lots to work with on both sides. Good student.
