Eli Gries-Smith is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Keyport, NJ who attends Matawan Reg. Large and lean frame with room to fill. Recorded a 6.60 second sixty yard dash time, showcasing excellent speed. Primary outfielder with an aggressive approach, fields it off the front foot and utilizes a big crow hop into the throw. Jumps up instead of out, could carry his momentum better through the target. Short and compact arm action, comes from an over the top slot and shows good athleticism and twitch. Right-handed hitter with a low hand and back elbow set and a wide base, utilizes a big toe tap trigger. Short swing path with good bat speed, tracks the ball well, tended to cut himself in this look and will improve impact potential as he reaches extension. Bevill State CC-Fayette commit.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
