Logan Whitesides is a 2018 MIF/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Rancho Santa Fe, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Medium frame with an athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Ran a 7.27 sixty-yard dash. Primary middle infield with clean, sound footwork while closing to and rounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with quick, fluid actions. Released from a three-quarters arm slot generating accurate, on line carry across the infield at 82 miles per hour. Switch hitter with a balanced, slightly open stance from each side of the plate. Utilized a simple front side trigger and worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Direct, inside hand path to contact with a clean line drive barrel plane through extension. Controlled the barrel well from each side of the plate showing slightly more jump off the barrel from the right side. Consistently squared up contact while employing a mid field approach.
