Andy Hernandez is a 2023 OF/RHP, C, IF with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace. Compact and young frame with room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.07 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, athletic movements to the baseball with clean footwork at gathering, fields the baseball to the side and comes through it well, takes a long arm action and creates plenty of carry into his throw topping out at 91 mph from the outfield. Advanced arm strength at all of his positions, secondary infielder, clean funnel and athleticism to his actions, graded out best in the infield. Also caught, higher set base, online release, longer arm action and gains ground into his thow downs. Also pitched, uses his lower half and gets downhill, long arm action up to an extended 3/4 arm slot, has a feel to spin a slider in the low-70s. Righthanded hitter, high hand set to start, loads deep with a big stride into contact, takes a line drive plane into swing, present bat speed and impact momentum, will continue to provide strength at contact with maturity.
