Paxton Ponder is a 2023 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Cullman, AL who attends Cullman. Slender young athletic build. Very good runner, 6.85 in the sixty. Has very quick feet in the middle infield with easy gliding footwork through the ball, soft and quick hands fielding and in his exchange, has all the actions to keep improving, arm strength will come with physical maturity. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with limited lower half shift into contact, upper body swing, stays well balanced, has quick hitter's hands that project some bat speed and good barrel accuracy, projects as a hitter with lower half adjustments and additional strength. Excellent student. Named to the Fall Gulf Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
