Ben Waterman is a 2023 RHP/SS with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Milton, MA who attends Milton Academy. Recorded a 7.03-second 60-yard dash time. Physical, athletic build with obvious strength throughout. Primary right-handed pitcher, works with a simple, controlled operation, using his entire frame to create great downhill action. Go ahead early and often with a plus-potential three-pitch mix. Whippy arm action with loads of projectability on the mound. Ran his fastball up to 86 mph with some running action through the zone. Showcased an 11-5 shape curveball with depth, maintaining his arm speed, and tunneling the pitch well. Flashed a developing change-up that showed some fading action. Secondary shortstop, with some twitch in his actions. Cleaning fielding funnel with sound footwork. Present arm strength with throws up to 87 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, slightly open stance with a high back elbow. Tendency to lunge at the ball causing his hands to drift away from his body. Showed line drive impact to all fields, staying short through the zone. Flashed some power potential through the middle of the field. Good student. Named to Northeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
