Alex Walsh is a 2022 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Boynton Beach, FL who attends Somerset Canyons Academy. Slender young athletic build. Has a sound delivery and easily repeatable direction mechanics, easy arm action with good extension out front. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77, plenty more there as he fills out and gets stronger, gets good life on his fastball and works to the corners. Showed good command of a 12/6 breaking ball with some depth, change up was a nice pitch as well. Has advanced pitchability for his age and three pitches he can throw for strikes. Left handed hitter, hits from a closed stance with a big barrel wrap to start his swing, swings hard with a line drive swing plane. Very good student.
