Drew Richardson is a 2024 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Peachtree City, GA who attends Starrs Mill. Recorded a 6.88 second 60-yard dash time. Primary first baseman with a tall frame and athletic build. Really good hands moving around and on picks with feel for the leather. Solid footwork around the bag with throws across the diamond from a lower arm slot at 88 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a controlled delivery. High hands start dropping to waist with short step forward to compress slab and back up with belt-high lift. Full arm swing to a 3/4 arm slot release down the slope. Quick arm running the fastball up to 89 mph (1910 RPM) and curveball in the 74-mph range (1976 RPM). Flashed a changeup as a third pitch with a rhythm to the delivery and feel for a three-pitch mix. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and slightly open stance in the box. Deep hand load with short stride to square and bat speed through the zone. Strength through the zone to the pull side with some loft to the path and juice out front. Excellent student. Named to the National Academic Showcase (Tues/Wed) Top Prospect List.
