Sam Summerlin is a 2025 C/IF, OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Camilla, GA. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, present strength to frame with additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate with slight turn in drills, nice quickness to actions throughout and gains ground with lower half nicely, comes out of crouch well, accurate throws down to second base with a higher slot on throws, shows carry, nice tools. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Does a nice job of staying short to the ball and works on a linear path to point of contact. Occasionally opens front side early, shows comfort working to pull side, loose wrists and creates line drive contact off of the barrel, projects with added strength. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
