Spencer Stanton is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 6-3 198 lb. frame from Massillon, OH who attends Jackson. Large frame with very projectable and athletic present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.99 seconds. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance with narrow base, simple shift into contact, stays compact with hands and gets the barrel out on time with authority. Simple swing with repeatability. Showed good pop to the pull side as well. Worked out at 1st base, athletic actions with good footwork and smoothness to reps. Quick release with solid arm, clocked up to 76. Also made brief appearance on mound, showed loose arm with fastball up to 78 mph. Named to 2017 Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect list, good student.
