Nicholas Fazzari is a 2018 OF/C with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Thunder Bay, ON who attends St. Ignatius High School. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Ran a 7.25 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Developing glove actions while funneling the baseball and worked through transition well. Compact arm circle at separation and released from a high three-quarter slot topping at 81 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively from behind the plate showing a narrows, slightly taller stance while receiving. Gains some ground while working out of crouched with an extended front side stride. Clean, smooth glove to hand exchanges and a loose glove circle while working through transfer. Topped a 75 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.12. Left handed hitter with a spread, even stance and toe tap trigger. Coils hands at load and works to contact with some linear actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a level, line drive plane through extension. Consistently worked to all fields throughout batting practice and flashed the bat speed to turn the barrel and work to pull side with authority. Good student as well.
