Colby Canales is a 2020 3B/SS with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends JSerra Catholic. Large and slender frame with a high waist and room to fill out. Ran a 7.19 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary third baseman. Deliberate close on the baseball with a funnel out in front. Shows quick and smooth glove actions in front. Works well in both direction with range working through. Gets on top and into a high three-quarter slot creating sharp carry to the bag at 86 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a wide stance to start and toe tap trigger into load. Long path creating barrel speed through the zone. Looks to pull and drive the ball into the gaps. Naturally leveraged plane with hard impact off the barrel. Excellent student as well. Named to the 2019 West Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
