Michael Gill is a 2019 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Whittier, CA who attends Cantwell Sacred Heart Of Mary. Medium frame with an athletic build. Primary right handed pitcher with an easy, smooth delivery. Uses lower half well while creating slight hip turn at gather. Lands in line with the plate and maintains direction through finish. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly created some run back to arm side. Was able to located fastball to each edge of the plate consistently. Displayed good feel for each off speed pitch with the present feel to deliver for strikes in all counts. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing clean actions while surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and worked through exchange well. Flashed good range to each side while releasing from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Throws generated accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 79 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Created good torque in swing with rotational lower half actions. Clean hand path to contact with a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Created good bat speed through the zone that generated hard, loud contact to the gaps when squared. Very good student as well.
