Ty Barrango is a 2021 2B/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from San Mateo, CA who attends Aragon. Medium slender build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to fill out. Posted a 7.20 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder, fields out in front and stays in front of the baseball well. Clean gather and transfer, solid athlete, moves well into the hole as well as up the middle. Ability to make plays while on the move. At the plate, uses a slightly open and upright stance with a hanging leg lift trigger. Longer overall stroke, still good quickness to his hands through the zone. Middle of the field approach, quiet load will serve him well as he continues to face higher velocity. Good student in the classroom as well.
