Cole Martino is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-0 192 lb. frame from Pueblo, CO who attends Pueblo County. Medium frame with present lower half strength. Primary right handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Medium leg lift and stays balanced at gather. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Stays on line at finish and carries momentum well. Showed the feel to locate fastball to each edge of the plate in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Developing feel for a curveball offering that had 12/6 shape with late bite when maintaining arm speed through extension. Also worked out defensively from first base showing smooth paced footwork while working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and released from a compact arm slot. Throws produced accurate carry across the infield at 75 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an even, balanced stance. Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Flashed good strength at contact with a slightly lifted barrel plane. When on time, ball created tight back spin off the barrel with carry to the gaps. Excellent student. Named to the 2018 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.
