Henry Miller is a 2020 C/RHP with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Carlsbad. Large frame, solid build with present strength. Primary catcher with a balanced lower half while setting up to receive. Stays in line while working out of crouch and driving to the bag. Clean exchanges while working into throwing position and releases with a compact arm action. Throws produced some on line carry to the bag topping at 70 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.31. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance. Lower half has rotational actions and stays on back side throughout. Hands work to contact on a compact, line drive path through extension. Front side works quickly and generated occasional bat speed when turning barrel to contact. When on time, has some present pop to the pull side gap that produced solid carry to the gap. Also pitched working exclusively from the stretch. Stays flexed on back side at gather and drives to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact arm circle back at separation and releases from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Fastball has some cutting action to glove side with downward angle to the plate between 74-77 miles per hour. Slider has 9-to-4 shape with good rotation and sweep in the upper 60's. Also flashed a curveball with 11-to-5 shape with soft rotation and good depth when located down in the strike zone. Consistently filled the zone throughout outing with developing command to each edge of the plate. Good student as well.
