Chase Masek is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Yorba Linda, CA who attends Esperanza. Taller height with an athletic build and some current strength. Looks the part. A primary first baseman, under control and balanced as he squares up ground balls. Solid arm strength and showed accuracy to the bases, works around the bag effectively. A right-handed hitter, starts with an even base and relaxed set up. Simple swing and gets on plane well, looks to drive to the pull side and did so during his round showing some carry off the bat. A secondary pitcher, compact arm stroke with some extension at release. Lively fastball that has some jump out of the hand. Solid shape to the breaking ball with some depth when located to the glove side. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
