Ross Kalina is a 2018 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Rowena, TX who attends Miles HS. Recorded a 7.24 60-yard dash. Projectable frame with present athleticism and length. Primary shortstop and the arm worked well and had throws with carry. Innate understanding and awareness with very smooth actions. Accurate throws across and remained balanced throughout. Moved well, especially so to the glove side up the middle. Simple and easy delivery on the mound with a soft stab in the back of the arm. Delivered from a three-quarter arm slot and showed a three-pitch mix. Medium arm action and the fastball worked well for strikes; changeup flashed solid fade low in the zone. Low hand set at the plate with quick hands. Stands slightly open and produced in-game. Outstanding student.
