Owen Rardin is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Estero, FL who attends Bishop Verot. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, surrounds the ball well, fields it out front with two hands, shorter steps moving towards the ball, can continue to incorporate additional footwork working through the ball, shows some quickness to arm with carry across the diamond. Also pitched, simple turn into delivery, higher leg lift up past belt, slight hip turn with some gather on backside; worked around the zone and pitched to contact from a lower three-quarters release point, occasionally gets under the ball at release, fastball topped out at 74 mph and mixed a curveball up to 63 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a short stride moving into swing. Keeps hands inside the ball, long path through the zone and works best on a linear plane. Handsy swing, can incorporate additional lower half into swing, has some present quickness to stroke. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
