Gaige King is a 2022 RHP/MIF, OF with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Douglasville, GA who attends South Paulding. Large frame with a slender build showing room to fill out physically. Ran a 7.07 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, full windup as he works into it with a front step. Higher leg lift lift to the chest before falling into motion. Released from a higher slot as he got extended over the front side. Fastball showing some downhill actions as he lived in the lower half of the zone. Topped out at 80 mph. Also proved to have some feel to spin the breaking ball. Flashed 11-to-5 actions in the low-70's. Pitchability present and projects here with a strength gain. Secondary Middle Infielder, good first step as he rounds the baseball with confidence. Clean gather out front and transferred with urgency. Shorter arm action with carry across the diamond. Feel for the position present. Secondary Outfielder, took efficient routes to the baseball. Smooth, clean gather to the side as he carries weight well into release. Maintained shorter arm action but proved he could generate carry on throws. Threw it 80 mph during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, open stance to start as he works into a high knee lift trigger to stride. Deep hand load with a longer swing path. Looked to pull the baseball when possible. Will make big jumps with a strength gain. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
