Larry Blackwell is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 5-8 184 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. A primary pitcher with a medium sticky build. On the mound he starts with a small side step into a quick turn, he does a nice job of sitting into his back side as he gets to the top of his leg lift and uses that to drive down the mound, the arm works through a full arm action up to more of an over the top arm slot, he worked effectively in the zone with the fastball in the 80-83 mph range getting some short arm side run on the two seam as he mixed it in with a four seam, he showed a 12-6 curveball as well with good feel for the pitch landing it in the zone consistently throughout his outing and throwing it in different counts, he was also able to use a hanging leg lift to control the running game from the stretch as he showed good mound poise.
