Gabriel Sjostrom is a 2020 LHP/ with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Sunset Senior. Strong build with length to levers. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a short side step delivery to a leg lift above the waist. Long stride down the mound landing slightly offline to the plate and creating some cross fire. Compact stroke in the back into a three-quarter release that can vary from pitch to pitch. Can create some drive off the back side with strong lower half. Creates hard angle to the fastball topping out at 81 miles per hour and showing occasional cutting action. Slider displayed occasional tilt when creating tighter spin. Was able to command the zone well at times. Also showed a firm changeup in the mid 70's. Good student as well.
