Abdiel Rodriguez is a 2021 RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends BYOU Academy. Lean athletic build with lots of athletic projection ahead of him. Works from the stretch, gets gathered and turned over the rubber and uses his lower half working down the mound, loose and whippy arm with good extension out front. Fastball worked consistently in the upper 80's, topped out at 90 mph with good late arm side run. Curveball was a quality second pitch with good tunneling with his fastball and plus depth at times. Has the ability to mix his pitches and throw at different times in the count. Lots of potential for further development of his strength and raw stuff. Good student. Signed with Cisco Junior College. Named to the World Showcase Top Prospect List.
