Justin Ruiz is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. A more compact frame with some physicality in the build. Ran an 8.05 60-yard dash. Primary catcher. Uses an open feet setup with the right foot back. Gains momentum well, showing a fluid release. Has a quick arm. stroke and gets rid of it quickly. Athletic mover. Throws on the bag. Threw 78 mph and produced 1.99 pop time. A right-handed hitter who had high-set hands and a high-back elbow with a wider base. He has a minimal leg lift trigger as he works into his stride. Gets the hands to the ball on a direct path and had some quickness to it. Worked to the opposite field during his round of BP. Was able to get extended and drive the ball pretty well during his round. Produced an 87 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. High Point commit.
