Mitchell Miliano Alvares is a RHP from , SD, Dominican Republic. Tall and loose athletic build, long arms with square shoulders, very projectable physically. Compact arm action coming to a high 3/4's to over the top release, short stride out front, big downhill angle to his pitches, tends to get his upper body off line and pull down to the glove side consistently, throws with good tempo, command and mechanics were simpler and more consistent from the stretch. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, fairly straight with big angle to the plate when located, missed frequently to the glove side. Rare breaking ball showed some power but from lower release slot. Raw young pitcher with big potential arm strength but lots of work to do with his command and secondary pitches. International free agent.
