Michael Sansone is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Cheshire, CT who attends Notre Dame High School. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength to build, mature look with physical strength proportioned. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a high leg kick up past belt, does a nice job of finishing on line towards the plate and working over front side. Full arm action through the back getting to a high three-quarters release point, creates angle to fastball that topped out at 80 mph, maintained out of the stretch and ability to miss barrels when locating to the arm side. Fastball shows occasional cut to glove side and sink when down in the zone, most effective when down. Repeats arm action and release point well on curveball, 1-7 shape with short depth, mixes well and sequences, throws for strikes. Also threw a changeup for strikes, will throw left on left and shows ability to miss bats with the pitch, short fading life down in the zone at 72 mph. Very good student.
