Collin Kringlen is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-5 180 lb. frame from Broomfield, CO who attends Holy Family Catholic. Large, tall frame with long limbs and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step to leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather, hips and shoulder work to the plate in tandem and releases from a three-quarters arm slot. Flashed had some downhill angle through the zone in the mid up upper 70's, topped at 78 miles per hour. Curveball had loose 11/5 shape with occasional depth in the upper 60's. Flashed ability to located to outer edge of plate when repeating arm actions and slot. Also worked out defensively from first base, centers the the baseball well with smooth paced footwork. Clean glove actions with smooth exchanges. Long arm circle at separation and released from a high three-quarters arm slot, created accurate carry to the bag topping at 76 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, event stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays balanced throughout with rotational lower half actions. Simple, direct path to contact with a level plane through extension. Primarily works to each gap but flashed the ability to turn barrel to contact and work to pull side with some jump off the barrel as well. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Very good student as well.
