Matthew Lynch is a 2017 3B/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from New Canaan, CT who attends IMG Academy. Larger frame, lean athletic projectable build with broad shoulders, present strength, room to fill out. Right handed hitter, slightly open stance with high back elbow. Longer hand path, solid bat speed with ability to get extended and barrel through the zone with authority. Strength flashes, shows some carry off of the barrel to the gaps, more power on the way with more consistent, aggressive finish through contact. Primary infielder, solid actions, moves well to ball, works to a 3/4 arm slot, has solid arm strength. Also plays outfield, shows solid arm, developing footwork, could work through ball more consistently, has tools to improve. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Good student.
