Jackson Hill is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Jonesborough, TN who attends Science Hill HS. Slender young athletic build, projects well physically. Mid 3/4's slinging arm slot and arm action, front side opens early in delivery and lands with an open front leg, repeats mechanics well and has some athleticism. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, gets nice fading action and keeps the ball low in the zone, can spot up fastball to both sides but mostly keeps it arm side. Very nice change up with similar fade and command, mixes in the change up frequently and will double up on it. Pounds the zone with both pitches and gets lots of weak early count contact, very effective. Did not throw a breaking ball in warms ups or in the game. Interesting young left hander with a mature feel for pitching and a projectable build. Outstanding student.
