Matthew Delagarza is a 2019 2B/RHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Victoria, TX who attends Victoria West HS. Medium frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Hits from spread-based stance, shows consistent path on a line drive plane, hands work well into swing, shows the ability to get the ball into the air, projects well for power. Worked out in the infield, shows solid one-step range to both sides, hands work, comes through the ball well, clocked up to 85 mph across the diamond. Also pitched and pitched well, good arm speed with projectable velocity, athletic delivery, uncoils well downhill, fastball worked 80-83 mph with good sink, showed curveball with 11/5 shape and depth as well as a fading changeup. Very good student.
