Caston Peter is a 2018 C/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Stratford HS. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a strong, mature build with present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front, quick and clean transfer into quick release, shows arm strength from a short arm action, tight release to ear, back picked a runner at first base in game action, accurate throws, gains short ground with lower half. Righthanded hitter, starts with an open and narrow stance with hands pulled back to start. Strength plays in swing, swings hard and generates bat speed through the zone. Line drive plane, comfort hitting to pull side, hardest contact came off the barrel to centerfield with nice jump, stayed through the ball well. Occasionally gets inside the ball, good contact when extended, nice tools that will continue to develop. Named to National Underclass South Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
