Alexis Torres is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Colegio Angel David. Medium, athletic frame with a lean but muscular and well proportioned build, present strength with room to grow stronger. Ran a 6.88 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, advanced defender at the position, fluidity and confidence in actions, light footwork, short arm action and shows plus arm strength and carry across, quick release, remains extremely balanced charging in and able to make difficult play look routine in game setting. Righthanded hitter, starts with a wide base and high hand set. Simple approach in the box, line drive contact with barrel feel and accuracy to all fields, can go with outer half pitch, present bat speed and projects for more with added strength, contact approach and uses all fields with intent. Named to Caribbean Top Prospect List.
