Carter Gorling is a 2021 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands College Park. Tall and lean frame, very projectable and room to fill. Ran a 7.25 second 60 yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, starts his delivery with a side step to a belt high lift, takes his arm back to a full arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, looks to work to the armside of the plate, competitive demeanor on the mound and pounds the zone with a two pitch combination. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with armside run to it often, mixes in a curveball with 11-5 shape and bite to the pitch, comfortable throwing both offerings in any count. Secondary first baseman, fields the ball out in front and shows athleticism around the bag. Right-handed hitter, wide base with a high hand set, low leg lift trigger to start swing, opposite field oriented approach with hand strength. Outstanding student. Named to 2020 Fall Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
