Connor Schultz is a 2017 RHP/ with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Cedar Falls, IA who attends Cedar Falls. Large frame with long limbs and lean, athletic build. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Creates slight coil over back leg with slight flex at gather. Works to the plate with drop and drive lower half action and carries momentum through finish. Lands at a slightly closed position creating some cross fire action at released. Medium arm circle back at separation and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball has some running action to arm side with occasional sink in the mid to upper 80's, topped at 88 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with tight rotation and late depth, flashed solid command for offering with the ability to located down in the strike zone. Also flashed a 9/4 slider with softer spin and some sweep to glove side. Primarily worked ahead of hitter with fastball offering, but also flashed the ability to pitch backwards when needed.
