McKinley Bell is a 2018 OF/LHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Candler, NC who attends Christ School. Has a long, lean build, large frame, and plenty of room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 6.78 60-yard dash, moves well in both the field and on the bases. From the outfield, showed developing actions with clean transfers. Made accurate throws displaying arm strength up to 79 MPH. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with a spread stance, high back elbow, and a hand drop load. Swings on a line drive swing plane with good feel for the barrel, able to hit the ball to all fields. Flashed natural lift in his swing, developing strength and extension through the baseball. On the mound, simple and deliberate mechanics, throws from a 3/4 arm slot with quickness. Does a nice job of disrupting timing and generating weak contact. Excellent student.
