Tommy Roldan is a 2023 LHP/OF/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Poolesville, MD who attends Georgetown Prep. Strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. Two-way prospect. High energy delivery on the mound, works from a semi-stretch start with some stops and starts, has deception to his mechanics, extended 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked up to 92 mph, mostly straight. Change up was his best pitch this outing, throws it with full arm speed and can manipulate the action to the pitch, including cut to left handed hitters. Slider had a nice late break to it, threw plenty of strikes and mixed his pitches well. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance with a big leg kick start, has plenty of present bat speed and turns the barrel with authority, line drive swing plane with occasional lift. 6.81 runner in the sixty. Plays both the outfield and first base defensively and is athletic at both positions with big arm strength. Very good student, verbal commitment to Virginia.
