Erik Lipson is a 2020 LHP/1B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends Girard Academic Music Program. Medium frame with slender, athletic build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.20 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch, over the top slot, creates plane to the plate, fastball worked 73-77 mph and peaked at 79 mph, good running life and some sink. showed a curveball with 12/6 shape and good depth, mixes in a cutter as well that can miss barrels. Did a nice job of holding runners as well. Hits from even-based stance with hands set tight to body, swing is all upper body, line drive plane, showed whole-field approach. Moved well at first base and showed athleticism, fielded cleanly and was clocked up to 64 mph on throws.
