Anthony Bennetti is a 2019 SS/2B, OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Clearwater Cntrl Cath. Large frame with long limbs and a lean build. Frame projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.31 sixty yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, athletic footwork while traveling to and surrounding the baseball. Funnels baseball out front and works through transfer with fluid glove to hand exchanges. Primarily released from a compact three-quarters arm slot but showed the ability to change arm slot while on the run with accuracy, topped at 78 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing quick, fluid footwork while closing to and moving through he baseball. Clean actions while funneling and working through transfer. Released from a three-quarters arm slot producing on line carry to the bag, topped at 83 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance. Direct path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Flashed some leverage when connecting with baseball out front. Created some bat speed through the zone and showed good strength at contact when on time. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and showed some fluidity when maintaining balance. Good student as well.
