Dylan Yon is a 2017 C/RHP, OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from North Charleston, SC who attends Fort Dorchester High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.88 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, side saddle start, quickness to transfer, gains ground, with developing accuracy. Posted a workout pop time of 2.01. At the plate, starts with a wide base, tall, open stance, high hand set, high back elbow, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Showed good bat speed, line drive swing plane, and creates good leverage through lower half. Hands clear the zone with impact off the barrel and ability to drive the ball with lift. Pull oriented approach with power potential. Also pitched, showed an online delivery, got downhill well, extension, with a long arm circle. Mixed speeds and was quick to the plate. Fastball worked 78-82 mph with arm side run and sink to the lower third of the zone. Showed 11/5 shaped curveball with depth and flashed sharpness. Deception to delivery and also showed feel for a changeup at 72 mph. Named to Top Prospect List.
