Donovan DeVane is a 2018 2B/3B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Sharpsburg, GA who attends Northgate HS. The infielder has a lean and athletic build with room to fill and is a below average runner. On the infield he has a good first step to the ball, works to and through the ball with soft hands, fields in a good position, good transfer and threw accurately to first base. Arm projects at second base. At the plate he stands with the barrel high above the shoulder. Starts the swing with a high leg lift synced with a barrel tip, needs to control leg lift better, works up to the ball with a positive attack angle, drove the ball to a ll fields and has a swing designed to hit the ball in the air. Great student.
