Caden Walton is a 2019 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Cedar Park, TX who attends Vista Ridge HS. Medium athletic build with room to get stronger. 7.60 runner, has quick feet in the middle infield and some bounce in his step, covers ground and has good footwork at the ball, can throw on the run with carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow open stance with a very big leg raise delivery, will get off balance at times but generally gets his foot down in time, swings hard and has some bat speed, gets some jump off the barrel. Also pitched, simple leg raise delivery, lands open and falls off out front from the far first base side of the rubber, would benefit from getting on line with the plate. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, gets some sinking action at times, curveball was his best pitch with 11/5 shape and hard spin. Threw strikes and had a very quick inning. Plays with lots of energy and hustle. Good student.
