Payton Passoff is a 2017 SS/UT with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends West Forsyth. Medium, athletic frame with solid build throughout; projects well physically. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.48 seconds. Sets up to hit from open stance, leg lift timing mechanism, shows good bat speed through the zone with strength at contact, can get mistimed, has legitimate strength in swing, can jump the ball out front and drive it deep, projects to hit well for both average and power. Worked out defensively in the infield and the outfield. Bends well and stays down on the ball in the infield, fields cleanly and gets through it, winds up and delivers accurate throws across, up to 81 MPH. Very quick feet to the ball in the OF, balanced through actions, gets off very quick release back to the IF from low 3/4 slot, solid arm strength up to 81 MPH. Good student.
