Reece Malek is a 2020 MIF/2B with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Aston, PA who attends Garnet Valley. Medium athletic frame with young, slender present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.10 seconds. Switch-hitter, narrow-based stance with no hand load, keeps hands close to body throughout swing from right side and showed some feel for contact. Better from left side, got barrel out front and torqued hips with authority, showed good ability to square the ball up on a line from left side. Worked out in the infield, good footwork with range to both sides, clean hand actions at the ball with advanced overall fielding skills for age, showed quick release with accurate arm across the diamond, clocked up to 79 mph. Excellent student.
